Dr. Eric Thompson is a very successful chiropractor, 2007 Palmer Florida grad, in the Jacksonville, Florida area. He has 3 practices, 2 human practices and 1 equine practice, that he runs with his wife, Natalie Thompson. They also have 3 very busy children, ages 13 and two 10 year olds. Vasayo was brought to Dr. Eric in early December 2016 and he was immediately intrigued by the business opportunity and the outstanding quality products. Florida Bar, Dade County Bar Association, Broward County Bar Association, Palm Beach County Bar
Association, and National Bar Association, and was selected by her peers to speak at the FIU Law
She has been selected to present at a number of Cannabis Conferences including the Canna-Ed Conference,
Cannaday, and Cannabiz Conferences hosted by the Florida Cannabis Coalition. Scheril is the regular
Cannabis Law expert on Cannabis Life Radio every Sunday morning on 850 The Talk Radio in Florida, and
Vice President of HIGHLIFE Media. She is the Vice-President of the Broward- Palm Beach Cannabis Lab.
She presented at the National Association of Black Journalists and National Association of Hispanic
Journalists Joint Conference in August 2016 on the topic of: “Exposing the Truth: Getting Access to Audio
and Video Evidence in Police Involved Shootings”. Scheril is the Secretary of the FIU College of Law Alumni
Board. While at FIU Law, she was the Charter President of the Palm Beach ABA Student Organization and a
member and coach of the Board of Advocates Negotiation Team. In 2013, Scheril won the FIU Law
Intramurals Negotiation Competition, also she and her partner won the ABA Southern Region Negotiation
Competition. In 2014, she and her partner came in 2nd place in the Nelson Mandela International Negotiation
Competition and she was awarded the distinction of Best Overall Negotiator for her efforts.
Scheril served on the Black Law Student Association’s National Board for two years and is passionate about
eradicating sex trafficking and other social justice issues such as police brutality. She has interned at the State
Attorney’s office in the 15th Judicial Circuit of Palm Beach County and for two judges of the 17th Judicial
Circuit of Broward County. In the summer of 2014, she was served as an Anti-Defamation League Summer associate.
She believes that practicing the law and advocacy for the disadvantaged go hand in hand. She is an activist and
has dedicated her time and resources to promoting awareness, access to educational resources, and support for
survivors of domestic violence and trafficking. She has a Facebook page called “Police Chronicles” which
documents national police interactions with the community.
She mentors Pre-Law and Law School students of diverse backgrounds and has been a speaker at the Black
and Hispanic Prelaw Conference, the Diversity Prelaw Conference, and the HBCU Prelaw Summit and Expo.
Law is a second career for Scheril. She spent over a decade in the wireless industry working for T-Mobile,
USA; T-Mobile, UK; RIM BlackBerry; and MetroPCS as a Customer Retention Strategist and Marketing
Interface Manager rolling out training, technical change, cultural change, and process improvement projects
Scheril received her undergraduate Business Management degree from Florida Atlantic University with a
minor in Marketing where she pledged Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and served as the Student Government
Senate Speaker for seven campuses.
Scheril credits her hard working and strict Jamaican parents James and Judith Hall for her work ethic, tenacity,
persistence, and commitment to excellence. She was taught at a young age that we all have a responsibility to
each other and must be the example that tears down stereotypes while opening the door for others to follow in
your footsteps. She stays motivated by remembering that her son Judah is watching how she lives her values
and “walks the talk” in her daily activities. Scheril believes that every test is for a testimony that will glorify
God. If He can do all that he has done for me…imagine his plans for you.

Since then, he co-founded and was elected Chairman of the Legislative Progressive Caucus. As a lawmaker, Rep. Smith been a champion for civil rights, cannabis reform, affordable higher education, gun safety, mental health, and animal rights. Out Magazine has recognized Carlos as one of the “survivors and heroes of Pulse” in their annual OUT 100 edition for his outspokenness in support of those impacted by the Orlando tragedy.
Florida Politics and SaintPeteBlog recently named Rep. Smith a “Winner of 2017 Session” and he has received numerous awards from the League of Women Voters of FL, the Florida Education Association, and the Hispanic Federation for his leadership.
Daniel Cabello MD neurology 3:30 pm-4:30 pm
*Dr. Cabello joined Clinical Neurosciences of Tampa Bay in 2007. He is a Harvard trained epileptologist with vast experience in the latest epilepsy treatments such as epilepsy surgery, Vagal Nerve Stimulation (VNS) therapy, responsive neurostimulation (RNS) or also called neuropace, use of medical marijuana (low THC cannabis, also known as charlotte’s web), ketogenic diet, laser oblation surgery and the use of new antiepileptic drugs. During his two-year Epilepsy fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Dr. Cabello gained expertise in the management of complicated epilepsy patients, interpretation of EEG, Polysomnography and evoked potentials, and participated in clinical and basic research involving antiepileptic drugs and advanced imaging techniques. During his fellowship, he also trained and is board certified in Sleep Medicine. He has medical privileges at Morton Plant Hospital, Tampa General Hospital, Mease Countryside Hospital and actively participates in the weekly epilepsy conference at Tampa General Hospital to discuss epilepsy surgery cases with other regional epileptologists.

Amy Case King is from Dallas Texas, who currently resides in Yucatan Mexico, began her medical cannabis activism a decade ago to help her uncle, a Vietnam Veteran, who suffered from severe alcoholism and PTSD.
Amy has been a small business owner for over two decades in a multitude of enterprises, but her expertise lies in small business development (focused on Veteran Small Business and government contracting) as well as non-profit funding thru grant writing and fundraising campaigns.
Amy herself is a patient who suffers from a variety of medical conditions including PTSD, allergy to pharmaceutical binding ingredients and the opiate family of products and chronic pain. In 2009 Amy had an accident that required multiple surgeries which left her permanently physically impaired and without access to pain control medications.
Amy is passionate about education on the medicinal use of cannabis. She has researched the historical use of cannabis over the past 5000 years and will share this information with anyone willing to listen. She especially demands that our Physicians and Health Professionals educate themselves on the Endocannabinoid System as an endogenous system as part of their licensing requirements.
Amy’s advocacy takes her from local level policy to the International arena where she works to make sure that policy includes patients and their family’s voices for safe and affordable access to cannabis as an herbal product

Dr. Carlos Colon-Bengoa was born in Puerto Rico and ventured to Orlando to attend college at the University of Central Florida, where he received his undergraduate’s degree. He went on to complete Dental school at the University of Iowa, where he proudly became a Hawkeye. He continued his education by completing his residency with the University of Florida.
Dr Carlos Colon has since served the Central Florida community for 14 years. A huge Orlando City fan, Dr Colon has worked hard to help build community and political support for the soccer club. His children, Sofia (16) and Alejandro (13) play in the Orlando City youth teams, with Alejandro playing in the US Soccer Development Academy team.
DR Joseph Rosado 11:00 – 12:00 P.M
Originally from the Bronx, NY. After spending several years in central Florida working as an orderly and then an EMT/Paramedic, Dr. Rosado realized his passion for the medical profession. He started chiropractic school at Life College in Marietta, GA where he graduated cum laude with a BS degree in Clinical Nutrition and a doctor of chiropractic degree. After practicing for several years, he went on to Universidad Central del Este, in San Pedro de Macoris where in 2001 he graduated suma cum laude with his medical degree. After working as physician and clinic Director in Salt Lake City, UT, team physician for the Costa Rican Institute of Recreation and Sports, and staff physician at Hospital Mtropolitano in San Juan, PR, Dr. Rosado relocated back to Florida. In 2005 Dr. Rosado completed his MBA in Health Care Management from University of Phoenix, magna cum laude. Once back in Florida, he worked as the Director of the Communicable Disease Division/Epidemiology and immunization departments as well as the Sr. Lead Physician at St. Johns County Health Department.
Dr. Rosado then moved on to Tricounty Hospital in Williston, FL to be the medical director, and also worked in a private practice with the Institute of Medical and Cardiovascular Excellence (IME/ICE) in Williston and The Villages providing primary and functional/regenerative care. Upon resigning from both Tricounty Hospital and ICE, he worked as a temporary (Locum Tenens) physician at the North FL Evaluation and Treatment Center in Gainesville, FL, Pinellas County Jail in Clearwater, FL, Escambia County Jail in Pensacola, FL, Florida Health Source in Pierson/Deltona, FL and Genesis Family Practice in Orange City, FL.
He was on the bureau of speakers for the United For Care (Amendment 2) campaign in 2014 and 2016 and in 2015 Dr. Rosado took both the Florida Physicians Cannabis Course and the Florida Cannabis Medical Directors Course. In the Summer of 2016, he was the first to recommend high CBD:low THC in the greater Central Florida region to an adult patient with Stage 3 brain cancer and in the fall of 2016, he was the first to recommend medical cannabis (THC:CBD 1:1), in the state of FL, to a pediatric patient, who was terminally ill.
Presently, Dr. Rosado is providing primary care services, together with Immigration Physicals, Suboxone Therapy and Therapeutic Cannabis (Medical Marijuana) recommendations at Comprehensive Health Center in Orlando, FL; and volunteers once a month at Shepherd’s Hope Community Clinics.
